He can only spare Briggs a glance without letting on to anything. He's not wrong, but it was the plan from the start. He'd made it clear he knew he wouldn't be getting free, even though he tried to run. Crawling back was always inevitable, he just couldn't tell Briggs that.
"That's not what he wants," Mike said, working through the situation. "He wants us to do something stupid. Compromising. Blackmail material." He looked back to the camera, knowing he still didn't have all the pieces. He addressed their captor again. "It doesn't matter what you pump into this room, we're not giving it to you."
