"That is something I should be asking you," Hadad chuckles, leaning back in his chair. "No, unless you have questions about my request there is nothing else." He waves his hand to shoo him out of his office. It seems to be meant as a joking gesture, if his body language is anything to go by. He's content to let Mike leave if he wants.

What Hadad said about testing should become clear after Mike digs a little deeper. Jeffery Lee is actually Jeffery Thomas. A fellow FBI agent undercover. His investigation isn't nearly the scope that Mike's is. He works white collar crimes and is currently following stolen artwork which he believes Hadad has purchased. This is something Michael Warren could easily uncover. Mike Collins could uncover it with the extra effort that comes with wanting to impress the boss. Agent Thomas didn't exactly graduate top of his class at Quantico.

Hannibal, by everything known of him, would likely be pleased if Mike informed him of the undercover agent. It would be a test of loyalty. A way to bring in new blood.

Ba'al actually doesn't care what route Mike takes with that information. He is more interested in seeing how he handles it. If Mike even has a hint of an idea he's being played with. Even if Mike figured out he was being played with, Ba'al would not view it as a loss.
