He thought he could keep himself under control, but the moment he heard the name slip from the man's lips all the color drained from his face. Knowing Mike's own identity was one thing. He'd had time to dig. Time to research. But to know Briggs? Even in the FBI databases, it would be difficult to connect the two of them, protocols for the sort of missions they handled. He'd severely misjudged the situation. What his captor was capable of. The stakes in play. He likely already had the house under surveillance. Maybe he'd even kidnapped the rest of his strange little family. Threatened them.
